SAC/TC170 Meets in Zhuhai to Review Printability Test Standards for Paper and Paperboard, Parts 7–9
On May 9–10, 2013, Zhuhai was the venue for a joint working meeting convened by the National Printing Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC170). The session centered on the drafting work for Parts 7–9 of the industry standard 'Printing Technology — Test Methods for Printability of Paper and Paperboard.'
Hongta Renheng Company hosted the meeting. Technical personnel attended from the Dongguan Quality Supervision and Testing Center of Guangdong Province, South China University of Technology, Shenzhen Polytechnic, Shanghai Tobacco Packaging Printing Co., Ltd., Heshan Astros Printing Ltd., Dongguan Xingyu Polymer Materials Co., Ltd., Jinying (Fujian) Printing Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Jingmida Machinery Co., Ltd., Guangdong Zhuangli Color Printing Co., Ltd., Dongguan Jinbei Printing Co., Ltd. and the Danyang Printing Branch of Daya Technology Co., Ltd.
During the meeting, participants conducted a detailed study and discussion of three draft standards: 'Printing Technology — Test Methods for Printability of Paper and Paperboard Part 7: Printing Roughness,' 'Printing Technology — Test Methods for Printability of Paper and Paperboard Part 8: Set-off' and 'Printing Technology — Test Methods for Printability of Paper and Paperboard Part 9: Missing Dots in Gravure Printing.'
For Hongta Renheng, hosting this joint meeting created a professional platform for technical exchange. In-depth talks with attending experts allowed the company to better understand paper-related requirements in printing technology. Moreover, many organizations involved in drafting the standards are printing enterprises that already have direct business with the company or may become its customers in the future.
