On Tuesday, sentiment across the plastics market was subdued, with prices consolidating in several regions. Linear futures moved lower in a volatile session, and most traders chose to hold cargo and wait for clearer direction. End-use demand showed no standout performance; normal purchasing continued, but transactions were mostly small-volume and need-based, leaving overall trading unchanged. Maoming 2426K was quoted at 7,620-7,650 yuan/tonne tax-free; Changzhou quotations were consolidating, with Yangzi 5000S at 8,000 yuan/tonne; Hebei quotations were consolidating, with Jihua/Daqing 7042 at 7,300-7,350 yuan/tonne.

Tuesday quotations were largely stable with minor adjustments. PP futures trended lower, traders held a cautious outlook and actively pre-sold, yet spot supply remained limited. PVC market:

PVC changes were limited on Tuesday, with grades moving in both directions. Traders were keen to ship material, and some offered concessions. Grade 5 material was mainly referenced at around 6,950-7,000 yuan/tonne including tax, ex-works; in Guangzhou some ethylene-based material was raised, with ordinary calcium carbide material quoted at 7,230-7,260 yuan/tonne; Changzhou moved lower, with mainstream grade 5 calcium carbide material at 6,950-7,020 yuan/tonne.

PET bottle chip prices changed little on Tuesday.

PTA declined and ethylene glycol edged down, weakening cost support; most participants held firm on prices, bottle chip producers kept quotations stable for the time being, and the focus of market negotiations shifted toward the low end. Traders followed market conditions, downstream buyers purchased cautiously, and overall trading was moderate. Market reference: East China water bottle material at 6,500-6,650; South China water bottle material at 6,500-6,600 ex-warehouse; North China water bottle material at 6,500-6,650 ex-warehouse.

PET waste recycling

Recycled PET prices ran steadily on Tuesday, the virgin material market consolidated within a range, and sentiment in the recycled segment was flat. Cold winter weather slowed raw scrap collection, supply of recycled bottle flakes stayed tight, washing plants were reluctant to sell at low prices, and trading was deadlocked. End-user enterprises showed little interest in building raw material stocks, while chemical fiber plants bought mainly for essential needs.
