Four-Layer Foil High-Barrier Liquid Pouch for Long Shelf Life

This liquid pouch is built on a PET+AL+NY+PE four-layer lamination, with each layer performing a distinct role. The outer PET layer supports printability and mechanical strength; the pure aluminium foil core blocks light, oxygen and water vapour almost completely; the NY nylon layer improves puncture and drop resistance; and the inner PE layer ensures heat-seal strength and food safety. For liquids that are sensitive to light or oxygen, or that require a shelf life beyond 12 months, this structure is a highly dependable flexible packaging option.

Typical applications include hydrogen-rich water, botanical extracts, traditional Chinese medicine liquids, medical and medical-device disinfectants, premium juices and functional drinks. The foil layer also adds stiffness, so the filled pouch stays fuller and wrinkle-resistant, giving a shelf presence closer to rigid packaging. Heat-resistant seal formulations can support pasteurisation and hot filling, while foil thickness and lamination count can be adjusted according to the target shelf life.

Pouch styles can be spout pouches, flat pouches, stand-up pouches, three-side-seal or four-side-seal bags, with capacities from 100ml to 10L. Customisable options include structure layer count and foil thickness, barrier grade, pouch style, spout or valve diameter, sterilisation compatibility and the complete printed layout.
