Unlike a glass bottle, which should be finished soon after opening, a valve pouch shrinks as wine is poured out; with very little air left behind, the wine's flavour can remain stable for longer once opened. The stand-up wine valve pouch uses a laminate pouch body, available in metallised or pure aluminium constructions depending on the level of light protection the wine requires. Its dispensing tap is positioned low on the pouch: a light press starts the pour and releasing stops it, so a single glass is easy to control, and the valve can be screwed shut before the pouch goes back into the fridge. A gusseted base lets the pouch stand on a fridge door shelf or tabletop, while the front panel can be printed to your brand artwork. It is suitable for retail and food service packaging of medium-volume red wine, white wine, fruit wine and cooking wine.
