Quanzhou Evening News Selects Goss China’s Latest Magnum65 Newspaper Web Offset Press via Public Tender

In Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China, the city’s largest print media outlet, Quanzhou Evening News, has completed a public tender and selected the Magnum65 single-width, single-circumference web offset press from Goss Graphic Printing Systems (Goss China). The newspaper ultimately partnered with Goss China not only because of the press’s strong production capacity and advanced performance, but also because Goss China has the backing of Shanghai Electric’s strength and the Goss International background. This marks the first time Quanzhou Evening News has chosen a Goss product, and the new machine is expected to be put into operation in the second half of this year.

Quanzhou is one of the first group of historic and cultural cities announced by China’s State Council and the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road; from the Tang Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty, it enjoyed the reputation of being the largest port in the East.
