With high temperatures posing challenges, the construction team is focused on keeping progress on track and pushing the project toward production. Recently, the 8,000-ton-per-year degradable plant fiber eco-friendly tableware project in the Hardware Industrial Park of Qiantan Town, Jiande City, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, has been advancing in an orderly manner and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of November this year.

At the construction site, a reporter observed that the main steel structure of one factory building has been completed, and construction scaffolding has been installed around the exterior of the other two factory buildings. Workers were busy at their posts as machinery roared continuously, showing the project moving forward steadily and rapidly.

It is understood that the project covers 25 mu and represents a total investment of RMB 124.65 million. It will build a new plant for degradable plant fiber new materials and purchase one plant fiber decomposition system and 40 sets of product molding equipment. Construction began in February this year. Building No. 1 is basically completed, while Buildings No. 2 and No. 3 are still under construction and are expected to be roofed by the end of September. Phase I of the project is scheduled to be completed and put into production by the end of November. Once completed, the project will provide more than 80 jobs and bring in highly educated and highly skilled talent to form an R&D team. The project is expected to optimize Qiantan's industrial structure and stimulate the vitality of Qiantan's economic development.

In recent years, with the implementation of national plastic restrictions, the rise of the low-carbon economy and growing public environmental awareness, a market for degradable eco-friendly tableware has emerged. As an emerging industry, the degradable eco-friendly sector is seen as a new blue ocean in the domestic market, and the degradable plant fiber eco-friendly tableware project has strong market potential and promising development prospects. Yu Wendong, head of Hangzhou Tonglibo Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., said the project is designed for 8,000 tons of degradable plant fiber eco-friendly tableware, with a target capacity of more than 10,000 tons; its designed output value is RMB 200 million, and the target output value is expected to exceed RMB 250 million.

The company head expressed strong confidence in the project's prospects, saying the company will firmly embed environmental protection in its development, prioritize environmental performance and strive to be a 'green giant' in the industry. Going forward, the company will also increase investment in its R&D team and production equipment so that the environmental concept of degradable, renewable, recyclable and compostable materials truly takes root. This will help reduce global white pollution, protect the natural ecological environment and allow enterprise growth to coexist with green mountains and clear waters.
