Guiyang Hosts First On-Site Supply-Demand Exchange Between Guizhou's Baijiu and Packaging Industries

The supply-demand on-site exchange meeting between Guizhou's packaging industry and baijiu industry was held in Guiyang. It was the first time the province's two major industries had engaged in on-site exchange and cooperation, creating a platform for direct upstream-downstream connection.

In the reported year, the packaging cost required by above-scale baijiu enterprises in Guizhou was 106.313, accounting for the corresponding share of the province's above-scale baijiu sales revenue. From the perspective of comprehensive matching rates, Guizhou's baijiu industry has both in-province and out-of-province packaging matching rates; there is broad room for cooperation between the baijiu and packaging industries within the province.

After years of development, Guizhou's packaging industry has initially gained the conditions and capabilities to support the baijiu sector. Four major segments—paper packaging, plastic packaging, glass packaging and metal packaging—have taken initial shape, showing trends of rising volume, high quality and innovation, and have become an important part of Guizhou's industrial economy, especially its light industry.

Guizhou Province issued the Action Plan for the Revitalization of the Ten Major Hundred-Billion-Level Industrial Industries of Guizhou Province, listing the high-quality tobacco and baijiu industry as one of the ten major hundred-billion-level industries. The Implementation Plan for the Revitalization Action of the High-Quality Tobacco and Baijiu Industry of Guizhou Province and the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Transformation, Upgrading and Development of the Packaging Industry of Guizhou Province were also released, encouraging the packaging industry to strengthen supporting links with the province's baijiu, tea, pharmaceutical and other industries. This year, following the instructions of the province's special work meeting on the high-quality tobacco and baijiu industry, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology carried out special research and formed the Research Report on the Packaging Supporting Situation of the Province's Baijiu Industry, proposing to accelerate the development of the baijiu supporting industry and support the in-province supporting rate of the baijiu industry.

This event enhanced interaction through on-site visits to local backbone packaging enterprises, baijiu packaging exhibition activities, promotional matchmaking speeches, and conference exchanges and discussions. It aimed to build an exchange platform for Guizhou's local packaging enterprises and baijiu enterprises, smooth information communication channels, and promote win-win cooperation and development.

At the meeting, cooperation agreements including the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the Guizhou Province Brewing Industry Association and the Guizhou Province Packaging Federation were signed, and attendees reached a cooperation consensus in areas such as color boxes, cartons, milky white bottles, ribbons, shrink caps, bottle caps and labels. Baijiu and packaging enterprises in the province will strengthen cooperation in establishing a supply-demand platform, improving packaging product quality standards, enhancing upstream and downstream communication, actively expanding market channels, increasing talent training and exchange, and conducting industry trend research and authoritative releases.
