Guangdong Shaftless High-Speed Gravure Printing Machine Local Standard Passes Expert Review

Guangdong Province recently convened a provincial local standard review meeting for the 'Shaftless High-Speed Gravure Printing Machine' (draft for approval). In the experts' view, creating this standard will help push the quality of shaftless high-speed gravure printing machines in Guangdong to a higher level, provide technical support for local manufacturers of similar models to achieve standardized and normalized production, and fill the province's technical standard gap for this type of equipment.

On May 25, 2013, the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision organized the review meeting in Guangzhou. Huang Huai, Section Chief of the Guangdong Provincial Standardization Division, chaired the session, while Deputy Director Zhang Dingkang of the Provincial Standardization Division attended and asked the experts to carry out the review carefully.

An expert panel drawn from related industries—including the Materials Science Institute of Sun Yat-sen University, the Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Machinery Inspection Station, the Packaging and Printing Department of Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic, and the College of Light Industry and Food Sciences of South China University of Technology—reviewed the Guangdong provincial local standard 'Shaftless High-Speed Gravure Printing Machine' drafted by the Guangdong Province Film and Paper Printing Industry Association, Guangdong Shanzhang Light Industry Machinery Co., Ltd., Chaozhou Caida Packaging Machinery Co., Ltd., and the Guangzhou Yuexiu District Yanren Science and Technology Information Consulting Center. The panel heard reports from the drafting units, examined the standard preparation notes and other relevant materials, and after careful, detailed and thorough discussion agreed to pass the standard's review.

The experts asked the drafting units to revise the document based on the panel's opinions before submitting it, and recommended that the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision approve and release it as a recommended standard.

It is understood that the Guangdong provincial local standard for the 'Shaftless High-Speed Gravure Printing Machine' comes under an industrial local standard formulation plan approved and issued by Guangdong Province (Yue Zhi Jian Biao Han [2012] No. 676), with its technology under the jurisdiction of the Guangdong Province Film Printing Equipment Standardization Technical Committee (GD/TC64). According to experts, the shaftless high-speed gravure printing machine changes the traditional mechanical transmission mode, can improve gravure press precision and printing efficiency, and reduces printing material loss; it is an advanced printing device today. The Guangdong provincial local standard reflects the technological progress of this machine model and is both instructive and operable. Experts believe that creating this standard will help further raise the quality of shaftless high-speed gravure printing machines in Guangdong, provide technical support for local manufacturers of similar models to achieve standardized and normalized production, and fill the gap in Guangdong's technical standards for shaftless high-speed gravure printing machines.
