Dazhengbei Park in Xinxiang Signs 15 Printing & Packaging Projects Worth RMB 5.5 Billion

A milestone event took place on April 25, 2021, when Dazhengbei Green Intelligent Science and Technology Park staged a centralized signing ceremony for key industrial projects. The Pingyuan Demonstration Zone in Xinxiang City welcomed 15 recognized companies from China's printing and packaging industry.

In total, 15 deals were sealed on the day, drawing RMB 5.5 billion in investment—a scale that makes it the biggest collective signing occasion for Henan's printing and packaging sector.

Fifteen printing and packaging projects were finalized on the same day.

The Pingyuan Demonstration Zone Commerce Bureau states that Dazhengbei Green Intelligent Science and Technology Park is a flagship industrial park developed by the zone in Xinxiang. Its planned footprint is roughly 450 mu, divided into six themed functional areas, such as production and processing, creative culture, and achievement incubation.

Positioned as 'a new cluster of green leaders and a new high ground for intelligent manufacturing,' the park adopts 'innovation, intelligence, green, and integration' as its design principles. By gathering upstream and downstream players tied to printing and packaging, it seeks to create a sustainable full-industry-chain system for printing and to accelerate the shift from conventional printing to intelligent and green manufacturing. Once fully operational, the park will generate annual sales revenue exceeding RMB 10 billion and more than RMB 800 million in new profits and taxes.

Together, the 15 printing and packaging deals represent RMB 5.5 billion in total investment.

Notable commitments include the Longlide (Henan) Green Intelligent Cultural Science and Technology Innovation Park project at RMB 1 billion, the Henan Yinghui Packaging Group premium packaging production base at RMB 500 million, and the Henan Tianrun Packaging intelligent manufacturing production line at RMB 200 million, among other significant projects.

The projects are set to give local printing and packaging a strong boost.

Those present at the signing included Zhou Yong, Vice Chairman of the Xinxiang Municipal CPPCC and Director of the Municipal Commerce Bureau; Wang Haiming, Secretary-General of the East China Chamber of Commerce of the China Paper and Paper Packaging Alliance; Sheng Shengli, General Manager of the Corporate Department of Bank of Beijing Shanghai Branch; Li Xiangru, Vice President and Executive President of the Henan Packaging Technology Association; Wang Pengye, Deputy Secretary-General of the Henan Packaging Technology Association; representatives from the signing enterprises; and demonstration zone leaders Wang Chaojie, Wang Jingshu, Wang Changhui, Wang Jianhua, among others.

In his address, Zhou Yong described the Pingyuan Demonstration Zone as having a strong foundation, firm momentum, promising prospects, and clear advantages, making it an increasing focus for investors from various sectors. He noted that the arrival of multiple leading printing and packaging enterprises is especially timely. Both city and district authorities, he said, should serve as 'matchmaker,' 'security guard,' and 'nanny' for the companies.

They should help projects break ground, enter production, and achieve results as early as possible, so businesses can invest with confidence, operate with peace of mind, and live comfortably.

The Pingyuan Demonstration Zone was set up in 2010 and renamed in 2013. It currently has jurisdiction over six townships (offices), spans about 400 square kilometers, and has a population of roughly 300,000. In 2017, the Implementation Plan for Building the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration in Henan Province listed the Pingyuan Demonstration Zone alongside Gongyi, Xinzheng, Xingyang, and Changge as an emerging growth center of the Zhengzhou metropolitan area, with plans to develop it as a medium-sized city of 500,000 to 1,000,000 residents.

By bringing these 15 printing and packaging projects together at Dazhengbei Green Intelligent Science and Technology Park, the demonstration zone can strengthen and complete its industrial chain, lift the local printing and packaging sector to a higher level, and gain an important boost for economic development.
