2019 Plastic Green Packaging Conference and Expert Committee Annual Meeting Set for Nov 7-9

The Plastic Green Packaging Achievements and Applied Technology Exhibition and Exchange Conference, together with the Annual Meeting of the Expert Committee of the Plastics Committee of the China Packaging Federation, will take place on November 7-9, 2019. It involves the Plastics Products Packaging Committee of the China Packaging Federation, the Expert Committee of the Plastics Committee, Shanghai Ocean University and Shanghai Huayin Exhibition Service Co., Ltd.

The first track focuses on trends and policy. Experts and scholars, plastic packaging equipment and materials manufacturers, product manufacturers, and end-application companies will deliver in-depth speeches and forum discussions on the current state and future of green packaging in China and abroad.

A dedicated exhibition zone will showcase green plastic packaging achievements and applied technologies, bringing together well-known service providers from China and overseas.

To address practical consumer-side challenges, the conference will invite representatives from food, pharmaceutical, and other end-use sectors to discuss pain points in real-world plastic packaging applications.

The event also provides a professional paper release platform. Industry papers will be collected, and selected outstanding authors will present and exchange their work during the conference, offering professional support for industry development.

Attendees will visit the Functional Plastic Packaging Materials Research and Exchange Center, jointly built by the Plastics Packaging Committee of the China Packaging Federation and the Packaging Research Institute of the College of Food Science at Shanghai Ocean University. The center aims to become a key nationwide platform for new product R&D and production technology exchange in plastic packaging.

Hot topics include cleaner production (solvent-free lamination, co-extrusion lamination, extrusion lamination, water-based adhesive lamination, water-based ink printing and UV-curable ink printing, etc.); degradable plastic packaging materials and recycling of packaging waste; reduction and efficiency improvement of plastic packaging; hygiene and safety of plastic packaging; and green packaging development trends and typical cases abroad.

Some featured presentations will cover: VOCs emission reduction in China’s plastic flexible packaging industry by the Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Expert Committee of the Plastics Committee, Professor-level Senior Engineer; Suzhou Tongda Machinery Co., Ltd.’s Chief Engineer on the development of an intelligent, highly efficient and energy-saving blow molding machine production line; the Deputy Director of the Expert Committee and General Manager of Jiangyin Jingliang Company on reducing solid waste from plastic packaging; Guangdong Jinming Machinery Co., Ltd.’s R&D Director and Mechanical Engineer on five-layer co-extrusion POD technology in logistics packaging films; Jiangmen Huilong Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd.’s Chairman and General Manager on extrusion lamination applications and new technologies in packaging; and a Professor from Shanghai Ocean University’s College of Food Science on degradable materials in fruit and vegetable preservation.
