The pouch is formed with a horizontal gusset across the base; once opened out, it creates a stable bearing area so filled granules or powders can stand upright on shelf, giving a display look closer to a jar than a flat pouch. A self-seal zipper at the top allows the pack to be closed again after opening, helping reduce flavour loss in moisture-sensitive contents such as coffee beans and nuts. Gusseted low in the body for a firm, upright structure, it holds more than a three-side-seal pouch of the same size. The film can be selected as clear, matt or metallised according to the light sensitivity of the contents, with full-face colour printing and optional spot matt finishing; a hang hole can also be added for peg display. It suits coffee beans, baked goods, roasted nuts, pet treats, laundry beads and other categories that are accessed repeatedly and need to stand on shelf.
