Designed for operations that already have automatic packaging equipment, this roll-fed laminate goes onto the line as a reel, allowing the machine to handle pouch forming, filling and sealing in a single continuous sequence. Because film and labour are calculated per pack rather than per finished pouch, the cost is lower than purchasing pre-made bags, making the format well suited to high-volume output with one specification or a limited number of specifications. Printing follows customer artwork, with a continuous pattern and consistent registration; roll diameter and width are tailored to the machine setup, and rewind tension is kept even to help minimise web tracking issues and breakages. The layer construction can be built around the barrier needs of the contents, with clear, metallised, pure aluminium and high-barrier multi-layer options, while the surface may receive matt, pearlised or spot finishing. Typical applications include automatic packaging for food, household products, powders and granules.
