Hand-carry liquid pouches are most often produced as stand-up or box-bottom bags. A handle sits at the top, while side seals use a three-side or four-side format to create flat, secure edges with dependable drop and puncture resistance. The outlet can be specified as a spout, butterfly valve or screw cap to match the filling method, giving smooth pouring and a tight seal. The upright body also makes larger 5L and 10-jin packs easier to move and display.

Pouch structures can combine PET, NY, AL and PE in a multi-layer laminate. Thickness and barrier layers are adjusted for the contents and sterilization method, balancing fold endurance, light protection and load-bearing strength. Gravure printing runs in 1–8 colours for sharp artwork and stable registration, with full-surface coverage plus matt or gloss finishes. Standard sizes span 100ml to 5L; larger 10-jin and 20-jin formats are also available, along with matching roll film in the same material.

Suitable for drinking water, juice, soy sauce, seasoning sauce, edible oil and other liquid or semi-liquid foods, the pouch also works for sub-packaging household chemicals, liquid fertilizer and similar industrial liquids.
