Made from aluminium foil and metallized laminate, this custom tea pouch uses a stand-up format with a resealable zip at the top, covering a 1–500 g fill range. Green tea, black tea, white tea and scented tea all fit; after opening, the zip can be closed again, so no separate clip is needed and aroma loss is slowed.
The stand-up base is created by folded and heat-sealed sections that form a platform for the pouch to stand on. Inside the opening, the zip closes through interlocking ridges and can be opened and shut repeatedly. In the laminate, the foil layer contributes barrier performance while the metallized layer blocks light; together they help reduce the effect of light and moisture on tea. The zip and the top seal area need to match the pouch material, or the closure may lose grip after repeated use.
Fill capacity is chosen between 1 g and 500 g according to the product. Printing supports 1–8 colours, and the artwork can include brand marks, tea type and net weight. Pouch dimensions, zip specification and base construction are confirmed per requirement; the MOQ is 10,000 pcs.
Applications include tea packaging, food packaging and powdered-food packaging. Loose tea, scented tea and herbal teas are common uses, and the pouch also works for nuts or powdered foods that are taken out repeatedly.
Kody Packaging is located in Dongguan, Guangdong, and takes on custom production of foil and metallized laminate pouches. Lamination, slitting and bag making are completed in-house. Trial pouches can be made from a customer sample to check stand-up performance and the feel of the zip.
