Made for ultrasound departments, this foil spout pouch is normally scheduled at a 36 g fill, with a working volume range of 1–50 g. Aluminium foil and metallized laminate form the pouch body, and a spout sits at the top. It suits gel products that still have to pass through sterilisation after filling: the gel is squeezed out and applied directly, with no transfer into another container.
In construction terms, it is a spout pouch. The laminate is first heat-sealed into a bag, then the spout is welded into the pouch opening. The foil layer provides light blocking and barrier performance, while the metallized layer offers a lighter opaque option; either route works for gel fills that react to light. Sterilisation brings temperature and humidity swings, so seal width, sealing temperature and pressure need to stay consistent during bag making to prevent brittle seals or leakage.
Fill volumes span 1–50 g. Printing is available in 1–8 colours for brand marks, product names, specifications and instructions, with colour tone and layout set from the customer's artwork.
