The pouch body can be specified in aluminium foil or metallized film. Foil uses a full aluminium layer within the laminate for direct light and gas barrier; metallized film applies a thin metal layer on a substrate and provides a different cost-to-performance balance. When drench pouches hold colostrum briefly before use, light blocking helps protect product condition.
