Yuto's Guangxi Bagasse Pulp Project Goes Online, Accelerating Integrated Molded Pulp Layout

Across the globe, a growing number of countries and regions are prioritizing environmental protection, rolling out 'plastic bans' and raising the bar for replacing single-use plastic packaging. Thanks to their strong environmental profile and performance, molded pulp products have become a leading solution in the shift away from plastic.

Bagasse, a primary raw material source for molded pulp products, is set to see even greater annual demand growth in the years ahead.

In December 2019,

Yuto entered a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangxi Xianggui Group and set up Guangxi Yuto Packaging Materials Co., Ltd., which started production in May this year.

The site is designed to cover 33 mu, with a bagasse pulp board workshop capable of 200 tons per day, a 15,000-ton storage warehouse and supporting facilities. Once fully ramped up, annual bagasse pulp board capacity is expected to reach 68,000 tons.

From upstream raw material control to molded pulp product manufacturing and customer delivery,

Yuto has put in place an integrated manufacturing model across the full value chain.

Thai bagasse pulp board has long been recognized by the industry for its reliable quality control. Since its inception, the Guangxi Yuto bagasse raw material base has used Thai bagasse pulp board as its quality benchmark, applying strict monitoring to every item and process in product control, with output quality reaching internationally advanced standards.

Bagasse fiber gives single-use molded pulp products high stiffness and longer-lasting resistance to softening at high temperatures, making it a sustainable green raw material.

As a result, products made at the Guangxi Yuto bagasse raw material base, when combined with specialized processes,

are widely used in single-use catering packaging, food packaging, electronic consumer goods packaging and skincare and health product packaging, with promising development prospects.

With the Guangxi Yuto bagasse base now in production, Yuto's eco-friendly molded pulp manufacturing will achieve integration of bagasse pulp molded products, break dependence on upstream raw materials and inject continuous new momentum into Yuto ECO's sustainable development.
