Siegwerk has unveiled a large-scale investment program tied to its long-term "Formula 2030" growth strategy. Over the next five years, the company will channel more than EUR 300 million (around RMB 2.3 billion) into expanding global capacity, sharpening operational efficiency, building technical capabilities and strengthening customer support.
In 2025, its annual investment volume more than doubled the normal level to reach a record high, spanning strategic acquisitions, capacity expansion and infrastructure upgrades, among other areas.
March 2026 brought the completion of its acquisition of India-based Hi-Tech Inks, a move that sharply reinforces Siegwerk's standing in the country's fast-growing flexible packaging market. With their manufacturing footprints and product portfolios now combined, the two entities hold over 20% of the Indian flexible packaging ink market, making them the region's largest market participant.
The strategy is also being executed region by region. Siegwerk recently announced a significant increase in its investment across the United States and Canada, designed to lift competitiveness, broaden capabilities and support future customer growth.
At the Des Moines, Iowa site, several capacity and efficiency projects are under way, from upgraded grinding and blending equipment to a new warehouse that will back growth in the solvent-based business. In Morganton, North Carolina, the company is adding production capacity for water-based and UV inkjet inks, with completion expected in 2026 — an investment aimed at the fastest-growing technology segment in the packaging industry. That plant will additionally install solar panels funded by the company's dedicated green fund, meeting part of its operational electricity demand with renewable energy.
