From Bag Pickup to Automated Loading: Henan Jingu's Technology Path for Intelligent Bulk-Material Packaging

For non-laminated and semi-laminated woven bags—where high air permeability and sticky bag mouths complicate bag pickup and opening—Henan Jingu Industrial Development Co., Ltd. applies a bionic tooth-shaped structure.

By combining photoelectric sensing with servo control, the company enables unmanned operation and achieves automatic compensation for faulty bags and bag-mouth position deviations during bag feeding.

Automation now covers bag feeding, weighing, edge folding, bag sewing, labeling and inspection.

Sensing, servo control and visual inspection technologies are used to deliver unmanned inspection and control of packaging accuracy, quality (precious metals) and product appearance.

The JFZG1400 intelligent packaging production system for powder materials is designed for 2.5-5KG small-bag and secondary packaging of flour and other powder materials. It can replace manual work for small- or large-bag packaging and is compatible with JFZG1200 twelve-station powder material packaging equipment. Its production efficiency is higher than all existing secondary packaging lines on the market. In actual operation, the line runs stably, saves three workers per day, and can save the company more than 300,000 yuan in labor and management costs over one year of operation, reducing the packaging cost of small-package flour to 2 yuan/tonne.

The BZX01 intelligent packaging production system for powder materials serves 25Kg large packaging of flour and other powder materials. It replaces manual bag pulling, edge folding, labeling and sewing, with an automatic packaging speed of 700 bags/hour. Its efficiency is higher than manual work, and it operates fully automatically. In use, one production line runs stably, saving two workers per packaging station per day; over one year, each station can save the company more than 150,000 yuan in labor and management costs, creating significant cost-reduction potential for the entire 25Kg flour packaging line.

The project has achieved standardized and modular production of packaging machines; developed bulk material packaging products for different materials, specifications and packaging materials, forming initial coverage of leading enterprises in the grain and oil packaging industry; and, based on mature automatic packaging and intelligent loading systems, now provides customers with integrated services from bulk material warehousing, bulk material conveying, weighing, filling, packaging conveying and shaping to automatic loading or automatic palletizing, and automatic depalletizing and loading. This promotes the industrialization of intelligent packaging equipment.

Future project plans: further remove the impact of the epidemic, intensify industrialization promotion and product innovation/iteration for the 'key equipment for intelligent packaging of bulk materials,' complete industry standards within the industry, and increase its voice in the industry.

1. By the end of 2022, submit an application for an intelligent packaging machine industry standard to the China Grain and Oil Machinery Standardization Technical Committee.
2. From 2022 to 2023, complete the overall achievement evaluation and provincial science and technology award application for the 'key equipment for intelligent packaging of bulk materials' project.
3. Complete the application for the Henan Provincial Enterprise Technology Innovation Center around a series of achievement technologies such as intelligent packaging and loading of bulk materials.
4. Accelerate the industrial application of the project's product technologies.
