From July 2 to 3, 2026, the 9th Logistics Packaging Technology Development Conference was held in Shanghai. The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) served as host, with the CFLP Logistics Equipment Professional Committee acting as organizer. Ma Zengrong, CFLP Standing Committee member, Vice President and Secretary-General, attended and delivered remarks.

In his speech, Ma Zengrong said logistics packaging is a key link connecting production, circulation and consumption. Supported by the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan and China's coordinated advancement of six major modern infrastructure networks, the packaging industry is actively moving toward green, intelligent and intensive transformation. Noting that the industry's supply chain system is becoming increasingly complete, he pointed to four priorities: pursuing green, low-carbon development and building a full-life-cycle circular system; concentrating on digital intelligence to create a smart, efficient collaboration engine; improving unified standards and participating in international standard formulation; and driving innovation momentum to cultivate hard-core support for new quality productive forces. He expressed hope that the industry would use the conference to advance collaborative innovation and green development and support high-quality industry growth.

The event gathered relevant leaders from government authorities and industry associations, senior experts from research institutes and universities, and more than 300 representatives from over 150 domestic enterprises involved in logistics packaging R&D, design, production, services and application, including Shandong Tai'an Tobacco, Guangxi Modern Logistics Group, JD Logistics and SF Express.

With the theme 'Resilience Reshaping, Collaborative Symbiosis,' the conference focused on hot topics and held in-depth discussions on new logistics packaging technologies, low-carbon new materials and new circular sharing models. It highlighted full-chain carbon footprint management and standardization system development, while interpreting the EU PPWR regulation and analyzing the opportunities and challenges that the new rules present to domestic packaging exporters. The event promoted the integrated development of digital, green, circular, intelligent, shared and standardized logistics packaging, and provided a high-level professional exchange platform for upstream and downstream players to jointly explore sustainable development paths for the packaging industry.
