[Solvent-Free Process Column] Common Lamination Structures for Salt Packaging Materials and Key Process Control Points for Anti-Counterfeit Labels
- Common lamination structures for salt packaging include BOPP/paper/PE, BOPP/PE, PET/PE, and PET/VMPET/PE.
- Main anti-counterfeit methods for salt packaging include labeling, QR codes, and labeling plus QR codes.
- In solvent-free lamination, anti-counterfeit labels are sandwiched between two film layers and have a certain thickness, causing uneven material thickness and making obvious bubbles likely around the labels during high-speed lamination.
- QR-code anti-counterfeiting requires only standard process control.
[Solvent-Free Process Column]
"Solvent-Free Process Column" is a brand-new column carefully launched by Tongze to help solvent-free lamination users solve common problems encountered in production.
This column will focus on practical problems, analyze their causes, and provide actionable solutions. It will strive to analyze and solve on-site problems from the perspective of the process system. Each issue will invite an experienced technical expert to contribute, with at least one issue per week, and gradually form a user systematic solution knowledge base. This column welcomes cooperation and sharing from users, adhesive manufacturers, material manufacturers, consulting intermediaries and professional media, so as to jointly improve China's solvent-free lamination production process level and create greater value for users!
A014 - Common Lamination Structures for Salt Packaging Materials and Key Process Control Points for Anti-Counterfeit Labels
Solvent-free lamination has been used in salt packaging materials for many years, and the process is becoming increasingly mature. Through close cooperation with users, Tongze has made many pioneering explorations in this field. To date, Tongze has provided different models of equipment to more than 20 salt bag printing and lamination processing enterprises in China, accumulating rich process experience.
Below we share some commonly used lamination structures and key process control points for anti-counterfeit lamination.

III. Key Process Control Points for Anti-Counterfeit Lamination
- Manifestations of Improper Process Control
In the solvent-free lamination process, laminating salt bags with anti-counterfeit labels is relatively difficult. Anti-counterfeit labels for salt bags are sandwiched between two layers of film and have a certain thickness, resulting in uneven material thickness. During high-speed lamination, obvious bubbles are very likely to appear around the anti-counterfeit labels, see Figure 6.
